Development Concern Kenya envisions communities flourishing in security and productivity,
free from the blight of impoverishment, food insecurity, deprivation, and conflicts arising
from unsustainable natural resource management, illiteracy, marginalization, and human
rights violations.

Our Objectives

The organization’s main objectives are as follows:

  • Enhance access to safe and sufficient water resources for marginalized communities
    within Wajir, Tana River and neighboring county.
  • To actively support the development of a robust pastoralist livestock economy.
  • To undertake rehabilitation efforts and implement measures to safeguard the natural
    environment against degradation.
  • To advocate for the adoption of efficient, sustainable, and environmentally friendly
    sanitation and waste management practices within the counties.
  • To contribute to the enhancement of food security and the promotion of sustainable
    livelihoods in the county’s, thus fostering self-reliance and restoring human dignity.
  • To empower local communities and groups by building their capacity in the effective
    management of natural resources and advocating for sustainable practices.
  • To facilitate improved access to information, education, and knowledge among
    communities and induvial.
  • These objectives are outlined to guide the organization’s efforts towards impactful and
    sustainable development within the target communities.

Organization Mission

Development Concern Kenya is committed to alleviating poverty, vulnerability, and
marginalization among the residents of Wajir, Tana River, and neighboring county. Through
sustainable development initiatives. Our mission is to enhance the well-being and prosperity
of individuals and communities by improving health, education, environmental sustainability,
and all other aspects of life.

2. EMPOWER YOUTH IN IT WITH SHORT COURSES: 

Recognizing the importance of IT skills in today’s economy, we will offer short courses in software engineering, cybersecurity, and digital marketing to empower youth with in-demand skills. By providing practical training opportunities, we aim to expand job prospects for young people and catalyze economic growth.




3. INITIATE SUSTAINABLE PROGRAMS IN TARGET AREAS:
